At
Windsor Confections our tagline is “gourmet chocolate
with a mission.” That’s because 100% of our profits
are used to support programs for people with autism and other
developmental disabilities.
The statistics on autism are astounding – studies
suggest that one out of every 150 children in the United
States has autism or a closely related disorder. With your
support, we are doing our part to address this pressing issue.
Windsor Confections is a unique social venture. A division
of the California Autism Foundation, sales of our chocolate
give much needed support to autism services and public awareness
campaigns. We also provide valuable training to autistic
individuals who work in our factory, along side our expert
candy-makers, learning skills that will last a lifetime.
Since our founding in 2000, we
have been making gourmet confections, crafted from the
finest, all-natural ingredients. Our products are sold
under the brand names Windsor Confections, The San Francisco
Chocolate Company and Hooper’s Chocolate.
We currently operate in the original
Hooper’s Chocolate
plant in Oakland, California, but we are breaking ground
in January 2008 on a new state-of-the-art factory in Richmond,
California.
